For our previous Small God entries we’ve looked at parties that have grown out of communities that have relatively broad visions for the country. The RUAP want’s to take Australia back to a time when men were men, women were women and Muslims were anywhere but here. The PUP wants to build an Australia where a man can build giant animatronic dinosaur golf courses and not be considered odd.
For some people however, it’s not the world in general that drives them to get involved in politics, it’s a burning passion for a single issue, something that drives them to form their own political endeavours, bring fellow travellers on board and try to ascend to a plane where they can spread the good news.

Personal Thoughts
I kind of have a love/hate relationship with one issue parties. On the one hand, you can’t help but admire the passion that drives them, on the other they are completely and utterly useless.
The Bullet Train Party is fielding a number of candidates, all of whom are hoping to get into the federal parliament where they will be expected to represent their constituents on a huge range of issues, from transport (bullet trains) to things like health(Non Bullet Train), international treaties (Possibly Bullet Train related), defence (no, not Bullet Trains, not even armoured ones) and more. Basically for anything non Bullet Train related, they’re empty chairs.
Oh and one more thing. If anyone from the Bullet Train party is reading this, PUT YOUR DAMN CANDIDATES ON YOUR DAMN SITE. Sorry, sorry. I know, inside voice and all that, but if you’re going to go to trouble and expense of registering your candidates YOU SHOULD PUT THEM WHERE PEOPLE CAN SEE THEM!
